GUAVA BBQ SAUCE WITH KETCHUP
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped white onion
- 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 120 ml of water
- 3 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 80 ml apple cider vinegar
- 3 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tablespoons ketchup sauce
- 1 teaspoon powdered ginger or 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 250 ml of Guava Jungle pulp
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a medium pot over medium heat, add the oil and sauté the chopped onion and garlic for a minute. Add the rest of the ingredients to the pot, except the salt and pepper.
- Mix and let everything boil. Then reduce heat to low and let cook for about 20 minutes or until thickened. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Let cool and serve.
- The sauce can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to a week.
